Beggars: Hear is the dictionary meaning of beggar.
One who solicits alms for a living.
An impoverished person, a pauper. Reduced to poverty, poverty-stricken.
This is something to be thought of. This is something to do with our society. We say Oh, forget it. It’s true that we don’t like to see beggars. Why not make effort to improve our society, the place where we live? Mother earth. In underdeveloped or developing countries we see lots of this, exceeding limits, usually in over populated countries. Usually in public places, like train stations, bus terminals, streets, in front of temples, and what not. Why not analyze this. To make it sound simple begging is an act to ask for charity, help etc. Usually there are different types of them.
Some are polite, some are arrogant, some are cute, some are spiritual, some are sick, and so on.
This is interesting isn’t it?
Why not analyze how this is created and generated, what’s the root of this, where does this come from, how? Can we eliminate this? What’s happening in there minds? Do they really enjoy this? Is it a way of life for them? Is it there profession? I once read in a news paper that there are groups who make money by making children beg, it’s their profession. Can this be eliminated without our efforts? What’s exactly happening here? Why not study there attitude? Why not improve?
If we look at the attitude. We see that small begs the big, week begs the strong, poor begs the rich, and so on. It's interesting that this is done with a smile, cry, mercy, etc.
It can be seen that weaker countries ask for grants from stronger ones.
It can be seen that weaker states regions ask for grants from super states in times of crises.
It can be seen that children ask their parents for pocket money.
It’s their duty or it’s the courtesy or it’s an act of repentance or is it their birth right? Is it a bare requirement and necessity?
What is it?
Who is to be blamed for this? Individuals say its societies, societies say its municipal, the corporations say its state, states say its central, central say it’s global.
At last the blame is passed to God. Poor chap he takes the blame. After all he created human brains.
This is the credit.
Interesting, isn't it?
Is it because we are irresponsible? Passing on the blame?
Let’s analyze what it is.

I was thinking what’s going on in her mind?
She was very relaxed, as if she is used to this. She used to make a sad face when begging and again came back to normal when alone.
She felt that by making sad face she would get alms. I'm still analyzing, I don’t know what’s happening.
She went to a person standing in front of me and asked for alms.
This person neglected her. He simply ignored her. May be he was waiting for a phone call or waiting for a friend or was just thinking of something important or was dreaming of something beautiful or may be something else.
I don’t know. I felt that I shouldn’t be looking at them. Why should I be bothered? It’s not concerned to me.
Wait a minute! Are you not? Then who is? Think again? Who is responsible?
Is it the government? Is it the responsibility of high class society, middle or lower class? We never see high class people coming in contact with these beggars. They are given security which is a barrier.
It's true we don’t think something painful. We postpone them. Tomorrow. It never comes. But someone has to. Who will bell the cat? Not we? Then who?
If not now then it will happen again? How far can we neglect.
Both good and bad grow, day after day it grows, it will bounce back in a much bigger form. What then?
It's ok if it's good, what if it's bad? Can we take it?
We have already neglected it a lots, it’s reached limits, its dangerous neglecting it any further.
Let’s try and analyze.
This cute beggar did not give up. May be she was used to it, something she does every minute, every day.
May be she doesn’t have any other way out. May be this is the only survival for her. May be she saw some of her friends doing this and learned from them.
After all we look at others and learn. It’s because easy. Reasoning hurts.
May be she would have taken up something else if she had been thought or guided. But who will guide this cute kid. How will God teach her? Who will show her the path on which she can walk?
She kept on repeatedly troubling him, again and again.
She started to pull his shirt he neglected her.
She then touched his hands and again he neglected.
Then she touched his feats and again and again.
She never stopped and the person was frustrated. He got wild and started shouting at her. He completely forgot where he was.
He was shouting in a public place in front of everyone. After an instance she got afraid and ran away. The person realized that everyone around was watching him.
What if he would have helped her? She would have asked for more. May be he has already helped many and is busy with his job. How many of them he would help? Millions? Impossible? If he helped more than his capacity he would himself become one among them. May be he has already paid taxes to the government and thinks that it’s doing its job. Is he going to serve the purpose by paying money? What if someone else is using this kid to make money?
Would he eliminate it once and for all? No?
Can everyone find a solution to this? If at all they think about it.
Some of them were curious, they know what’s happening but don’t know what’s to be done.
Some of them who have seen this many times and still don’t know what to do.
Some of them were laughing without thinking, why to waste time, kind of.
Some of them felt pity for the person being begged and some of them for this cute beggar who ran away at last.
What if this cute beggar has become tougher by this incident, so that she can trouble another person more rigorously?
What if this cute beggar has gone week and will be more polite to other person.
What if this cute beggar has been so badly hurt and will never repeat it.
Is there a way out for her? What can she do?
She can survive but how? She can die but cannot. She can give up but what will she eat.
What’s her future? What’s her present? And what’s her past? Whose problem is it?
She will come back to you again in a different form. What will you do then? Run away, how far?
Something has to be done but what? Someone has to solve this but how? Sometime it will end but when?
Then we say Oh God! Please help and we try to forget. What if you get this in your dreams? That’s something beyond our control. Can we stop sleeping? No?
This is something which has pilled up since a long time and may be it will take a long time to solve if we start right now.
Same things are called with different names.
We call it elections, when Ministers ask for votes.
We call it relief fund, when one country asks for help from another.
We call it bribery, when one organization asks from its fellow person.
We call it charity, when one person helps another.
Why not call it as responsibility. Names change but the purpose is one. What if funds are mis-utilized or mismanaged. Something happened long back, may be we knew and neglected, may be we never knew.
It’s true we are facing it now. Someone has spoiled it. It’s coming back to us.
Is it true that if we do good it will come back to us. What if we do bad?
Who is going to decide what’s good and what’s bad? Is it someone within us? It’s said that there is God in each one of us.
Why not ask him? We should learn to speak to him. Then ask.
